Opening Lumière Aesthetics Studio in Highfields has been something Caitlin has thought about for a long time.

Having grown up in Toowoomba and now raising her own family in Highfields, creating a clinic here felt like a natural fit. Lumière is a space where Caitlin can bring together her nursing experience, further study in aesthetic care and a genuine interest in helping people feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.

More than anything, she wanted to create the kind of clinic she would want to visit herself: warm, welcoming and personal, with plenty of time to ask questions.

Meet Caitlin

Caitlin is a Registered Nurse and the founder of Lumière Aesthetics Studio.

After completing her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Southern Queensland, Caitlin went on to work as a Clinical Nurse with Queensland Health. Her interest in aesthetics and skin health led her to further study, completing a Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables through the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science.

While her clinical experience is an important part of Lumière, Caitlin wanted the clinic to feel anything but clinical.

Her approach is simple: listen first, assess carefully and treat thoughtfully.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach at Lumière. Caitlin takes the time to understand each person's concerns, goals, health history and previous experiences before discussing what may be appropriate for them.

Why Lumière?

Lumière means “light” in French.

The name reflects the feeling Caitlin wanted to create within the studio: warm, refined and welcoming. It also captures her philosophy of helping people feel confident without trying to change the things that make them uniquely themselves.

Hence the Lumière philosophy:

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you want or what to book. In fact, Caitlin would prefer that you didn't feel you had to.

A consultation gives you the opportunity to talk about what's bothering you, what you'd like to achieve and any questions or concerns you might have. Caitlin can then assess your individual needs and discuss appropriate options, expected outcomes, limitations, risks, costs and aftercare.

Sometimes that conversation may lead to a treatment plan. Sometimes the best advice may be to wait, take a more gradual approach or not proceed at all.

There is never any pressure to make a decision on the spot.

Skin is also an important part of the Lumière approach.

Rather than chasing every new skincare trend, Caitlin believes in understanding what your skin actually needs and building from there.

Lumière offers skin consultations and selected skin services designed around individual concerns and goals. Whether you're noticing changes in texture, hydration or the overall appearance of your skin, or simply have a bathroom cabinet full of products and no idea what you should actually be using, a consultation is a good place to start.

This is particularly relevant here in Highfields, Toowoomba and the Darling Downs, where our skin is exposed to plenty of Queensland sunshine along with changing seasonal conditions.

Rather than stocking an enormous wall of products, Caitlin's approach is intentionally considered. Products are selected to support skin health and give clients access to quality skincare they can continue using at home.

A clinic close to home

For Caitlin, opening Lumière in Highfields is also about being part of the community she knows so well.

She grew up in Toowoomba before moving to Highfields with her husband and their boys, drawn to the extra space and lifestyle for their family.

As Highfields continues to grow, Caitlin loves being able to offer personalised, nurse-led aesthetic and skin care locally, while still being easily accessible for clients travelling from Toowoomba and surrounding areas.

Most importantly, she wants Lumière to be somewhere people feel comfortable walking through the door.
